CONSTRUCTION WEEKLY MEETING PROGRESS REPORT

Tuesday October 25, 2016

Stacks 5, 7 and 9

ADPI (railing company) will be coming out and touch up any scratches that have been reported to the office. This will happen when they are on the property to install the inserts into the railings on Stack 3. Date TBD

The break metal has been completed on all the windows on Stacks 2,3,5,7 and 9.

Stacks 1, 2 and 3

The last dust wall in Unit 801 will be removed next week. Additional damage to the balcony swing door header was discovered when removing the shoring. Therefore, the dust wall could not be removed.

The BlueMax over the windows continues to be removed. Once it is removed, the windows will be wiped down. Please remember that CSI is not a window cleaning company. They will simply wipe down the windows.

CSI completed the primer coat and first coat of paint on the window drops. The stucco repairs have been completed on Stacks 2 and 3 and continue on Stack 1. There had been delays due to the wind.

North Catwalks

The final approval for the catwalk product coating application was signed off and approved at today’s meeting. CSI will be ordering the material and it will take approx. 3 weeks to get here. We feel the material used will be easier to clean than what was previously on the surface. CSI will apply material to four floors at a time. Owners in Stacks 1 and 2 will not be able to walk on the catwalk from 9a-4pm. Once all the catwalk surfaces are completed, we will then schedule POMA (railing company for catwalks) to begin installation of the new glass railing systems.

Catwalk Doors

We have discovered a major problem with 25 of the 34 Hurricane Impact Catwalk doors that were installed improperly 10 years ago. The Engineer has recommended Matt Hatcher of SRS, to remove the doors, clean out all the shimming and NEWSPAPERS filling the space between the door and the concrete stucco wall. He will then install new pressure treated lumber bucking, reinstall the window doors with the correct stainless steel fasteners. Once SRS completes this, CSI will apply the stucco around the doors as per the engineer’s specs.

South Side Catwalks

CSI continues to work on the repairs.

Carport Repairs on the North Side of the Building

Phase I work on the north side carport is nearing completion. There are a couple of columns that need more demo work but we are on schedule with the concrete pouring early next week.

Phase II work on the carport on the north side will commence in approx. two weeks, hopefully sooner. Phase III will be the garage. Work will be done one phase at a time as a way to reduce the number of cars that will have to be moved.
