CONFIRMED TO SUPPORT ED SHEERAN ON HIS UK & EUROPEAN TOUR
British pop’s frontrunner, Anne-Marie, has unveiled the official video for her new single “Ciao Adios,” which was shot in Marrakesh, Morocco and directed by Basak Erol (watch here).
Since its release last month, the empowering pop anthem “Ciao Adios” has further cemented Anne-Marie’s status as one of the most exciting, emerging pop stars across the globe. The single peaked at #6 on UK iTunes and entered Spotify UK’s Top 50 chart, while peaking at #29 on Spotify’s UK Top 50 chart, #3 on Shazam UK’s Top 100.
Anne-Marie's new single follows her mammoth Clean Bandit collaboration with "Rockabye," which recently eclipsed 450 million views on YouTube and 173 million streams on Spotify and has gone onto become one of the most successful and in-demand songs of recent years. Lending her unparalleled vocals to the track alongside Sean Paul, the track has been tearing up the radio charts, with sights set on the frontier of Top 40 radio. Anne-Marie joined Clean Bandit for the US national TV debut of the smash hit on ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s TODAY earlier this week.
Tipped across the board last year and recently welcomed as Ed Sheeran's personal 'One to Watch,' the Essex-born talent started making waves with her first single "Alarm” mid-2016. Last year’s biggest-selling debut single release in the UK, it charted in the UK's Top 20 and has received over 200 million global streams, which explains why the starlet became Spotify’s 3rd biggest global breakout artist of 2016! Spending five months in Spotify’s biggest global playlist ‘Today’s Top Hits,’ to date, the official video has received over 40 million hits and has sold over 500k copies in the UK and two million copies worldwide; it is now Platinum-certified in the UK/Australia/Ireland and has landed Gold certifications in Italy/Holland/Sweden/Norway/Poland. Not one to shy away from award nominations [in 2016, Anne-Marie landed ‘Best Newcomer’ nods at the MTV European Music Awards and MOBO’s and also won MTV's 'Brand New' campaign] 2017 has also started with much celebration after seeing Anne-Marie become the most nominated artist at this year's BRIT Awards with four nominations! Moreover, shebecomes one of just two artists, ever, to be nominated for both ‘Critics’ Choice’ and ‘British Breakthrough’ in the same year while also being the only female nominee in the latter category. Her “Rockabye” collaboration sees her nominated for ‘Best British Single’ and ‘Best British Video.’
The boundless talent first emerged on the scene alongside Rudimental, a band whom she toured the world with for two years as their lead live vocalist. Commanding crowds with her magnetic stage presence, her Rudimental venture saw her play to over one million people across the globe and become a featured vocalist on multiple tracks of theirs including the house-influenced anthem “Rumour Mill.” A three-time world Shotokan-style karate champion, Anne-Marie released her aptly named debut EP “Karate” in 2015, cementing her name throughout the blogosphere as an artist on the rise, soon following-up with the infectious “Do It Right,” which shot straight to the top of HypeMachine and Shazam’s global chart upon release. Currently in the studio finishing-up her debut album, watch this space for LP news and additional US tour dates.
