BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Presentation and preparation of UNIV 1004H, will explore various approaches to integrating knowledge and critical engagement with different text and contexts through the processes of reflection, writing and research. Through this exploration, students will strengthen their skills in self-reflection, critical thinking, applied learning, information seeking, and academic communication.

Duties include delivery of all classes, the preparation and marking of assignments, the development of tests and examinations, submission of grades, as required and the maintenance of reasonable hours for student contact outside of scheduled hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:

PhD in Education or related discipline is preferred, as well as demonstrated experience teaching transitional or first year students using pedagogical experience using active, group and student centred learning practices.
