Traditional courses focus on accurate drawing of the nude human and animal anatomy including rhythm, structure and musculature, sculptures and drawings of three dimensional human forms, principles of perspective to know how to integrate figures into scenes and plot light, ability to draw clothed figure in any action or stances. Digital courses cover use of camera and the manipulation of images and the application of traditional illustration using digital media.
