Email 1:
Email Protocols
(4 Definitions) / 1. / Email / Stands for Electronic Mail.
2. / POP / Type of email access that allows stored messages on a server to be downloaded to a client program. Stands for Post Office Protocol.
3. / SMTP / The standard protocol for sending email over a network. Stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol.
4. / Username / A unique name that identifies your account to an ISP.

2. / Ascii Art / Pictures and designs made by creatively displaying standard ASCII characters.
3. / Attachment / An additional file linked to and sent with a message.
4. / BCC / An address box for sending additional copies to undisclosed recipients. Stands for Blind Carbon Copy.
5. / Body / Part of an email that contains the actual message.
6. / CC / An address box for sending additional copies to visible recipients. Stands for Carbon Copy.
7. / Emoticon / An ASCII character illustration of an emotional state that usually resembles a face. Stands for Emotion Icon. Same as Smiley. Examples: :) ;-] :(
8. / Forward / To send a message that was received to new recipients.
9. / Header / Part of an email message that contains the addresses, priority status, routing information, and subject.
