SECTION 1: PERSONAL INFORMATION
1-1.Go to the LSC website at. On the red information bar, select Admissions.
1-2. To apply, start with Step 1; you are a New Credit Student.
1-3. A. You will Create a New Application. You must create a one-time password to apply; you will ONLY be using this to complete the application. We suggest using your name for your user name, and your cell number as your password as these are easy to remember.
B. Enter your user name and password
to start the application.
1-4. Items with an asterick (*) are required. Please check the information to be sure it is all correct, and provide a contact phone number and your email address.
If you do not know your SSN, it is not necessary at this point, but you WILL need it to apply for finacial aid later on.
SECTION 2: INTEREST AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
2-1. For your Academic Goal, if you are a Dual Credit or Homeschool student, please select “Earn an Associate’s Degree.” [“Earn Credits to Transfer” is for current college students who are taking supplemental courses. ]
2-2. You must select the TERM you plan to start classes,and your Degree or Certificate. [You may change these selections later on; this is just to provide information to you related to your potential major.] Note: Dual Credit: Select AA.
Choose a MAJOR (if you would like to complete your associates degree or certification, or choose undecided). CONFIRM your selections.
Complete the questions about your profile and educational background.
TIP: When you see a drop-down tool like the calendar or magnifying glass, ALWAYS use these.
SECTION 3: STATE REQUIREMENT
3-1. Residency Information: Select ‘Answer Texas Residency Questionnaire’ and answer all questions completely.
3-2. Complete the section on Bacterial Meningitis.
SECTION 4: APPLICATION CONFIRMATION
4-1. Complete the additional sections on text messaging and
financial responsibility, and confirm that you are submitting your application.
At this point you will be issued a LSC Student ID and LSC Username. Do not lose these – take a picture on your phone and write them down. Congratulations – you have just applied to Lone Star!

Password
1. You will need to generate a password for your Lone Star account. You may use a question from the drop-down lists, OR chose your own.
2. Take a photo of this page, AND chose password reminders that won’t change. (i.e. You may not remember who your childhood hero was, but your first grade teacher will stay the same.)
3. Passwords need to match ALL of the requirements listed. Most importantly , they cannot contain part of your name. (i.e. Joseph Smith cannot use “Jos12345” or “Smith2017”)
4. Again, chose a password that is easy to remember. (Ex: If you have a student ID number at your school, try using your initials with the number. Joseph Alan Smith = JaS123456) OR you can use a password generator and record your information on your phone.
