How to register with the practice

Provided you qualify to register as a NHS patient you will be asked to complete Registration Forms. The practice will require a new patient health check. We will not discriminate against you on grounds of race, gender, social class, age religion, sexual orientation, appearance disability or medical condition.

How to see the Doctor

All surgeries are by appointment of normally 10 minutes duration. If you are unable to keep an appointment please cancel it so that it may be offered to another patient. You may ask to see any doctor but this however will depend upon their availability. Where possible we will aim to offer you an appointment with the GP of your choice.

Home Visits

If you are requesting a home visit please ring before 10.00 a.m. However if possible please come to the surgery as the doctor can see approximately four patients in the time taken by one home visit. A request for a home visit made after 10.00 a.m. may result in the visit being delayed until the following day.

Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions are computer generated and have a tear-off slip. Please keep this safe and when you require another prescription tick the appropriate box. If you wish to have your prescription posted to you please attach a stamped addressed envelope. We do not accept telephone requests for medication as this could result in errors.

Test Results

Please telephone between 11.45 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. or after 3.30 p.m. for results of tests. These are the quieter periods and the reception staff will be able to look up your results more quickly than during a busy period.

Reception Team

The receptionists have a difficult, busy and pressurised job. We would be grateful if you would be aware of this and treat them with courtesy. They have all undertaken recognised training for the work they do in the practice and they treat all information in the strictest confidence.
