Complaint and Disciplinary Policy

All complaints must be made in writing and signed by the person making the complaint.

Issues regarding managers, coaches, players, and umpires who are not E-Board members shall be initially handled by the division at issue. The written complaint shall be sent to the Player Agent who shall investigate and attempt to resolve the issue in an informal matter. The Player Agent shall meet with the parties in person and allow all parties to state their position. In the event that same can not be resolved to the satisfaction of all involved in an informal manner, then the player agent shall determine if the matter shall be turned over to the division board of directors for investigation and resolution. The procedures for investigating and resolving issues shall be determined by the division board on a case by case basis with every effort to provide all sides an opportunity to present their positions. Resolution may include but is not limited to; no action, verbal warning, written warning, verbal censure, written censure, suspension, or expulsion, including removal as manager or coach or umpire. No party may be removed from his/her team or the league without E-Board hearings and approval. Any party wishing to contest the decision of the division board may request, in writing, that the matter be referred to the executive board for investigation/action.

Issues regarding Officers/Directors shall be handled by the executive board. Written complaints, or requests for review of division board action as set forth above, shall be forwarded to the Executive VP-Counsel.The Executive VP may, in his/her discretion, decide that the matter does not warrant any action on the part of the E-Board. The Executive VP shall initially attempt to resolve all issues informally. The Executive VP shall meet with the parties in person and allow all parties to state their position. In the event that same can not be resolved to the satisfaction of all involved in an informal manner, then the Executive VP shall determine if the matter shall be turned over to the E-board, and the matter placed on the agenda for a meeting within seven days of the referral from the Executive VP. The procedures for resolving the issue at said meeting shall be determined by the board on a case by case basis provided that allparties have an opportunity to present their positions and evidence, if any. Resolutions may include but are not limited to; no action, verbal warning, written warning, verbal censure, written censure, suspension, or expulsion, including removal as board member, manager, coach or umpire.

In the event the complaint/issue involves the Executive VP, the President shall serve in the role set forth above for the Executive VP. In the event the complaint/issueinvolves both the President and the Executive VP, then the e-board shall determine who shall assume the role of the Executive VP for such complaint/disciplinary process.

Any E board member who becomes aware of any disciplinary issue or complaint, shall immediately inform the Executive VP or Player Agent (when appropriate) of same.Any person who is determined by the E-board to have filed a false or frivolous complaint may be subject to the same resolutions as set forth above (no action, verbal warning, written warning, verbal censure, written censure, suspension, or expulsion, including removal as manager or coach or umpire.) as well as possible removal of family members from the league.
