RECEPTIONIST – MARKET RASEN (part-time)

Community Learning in Partnership (CLIP)

CLIP is a social enterprise with the purpose of widening participation in learning by people in rural, coastal and peripheral communities, and to support progression. We do this by developing programmes that focus on:

·  16-18s AND adults (50-50 commitment)

·  Making a contribution to local communities and partnership working

·  Being entrepreneurial - securing the widest variety of social, physical and financial resources to maximise the quality and range of provision that we can offer to local communities.

Currently our provision includes:

·  Study Programmes at foundation level and towards Level 2 for 16-18 year olds

·  Community Learning for adults (non-accredited)

·  Skills Learning for adults (accredited)

·  Access to HE Diplomas

·  English and Maths

·  Employability programmes for job-seekers

·  Mental health support groups

·  L3 Education and Training Award

·  Job Clubs.

Purpose of the post
1.  To help maximise recruitment to courses
2.  To provide a welcoming and responsive service in the Learning Centre
3.  To provide administrative support on Adult Learning courses.

Key tasks

1.  To provide reception and customer service support as required:

·  To be proactive in promoting learning to visitors, learners and members of the community to help maximise course recruitment (especially on Adult Learning courses)

·  Providing information about courses

·  Suggesting courses or alternatives

·  Keeping a waiting list of courses that people would like CLIP to offer

·  Carry out basic initial assessments, when required

·  Distribute posters, leaflets and other publicity in the community;

2.  To provide a welcoming, organised and customer-focussed reception service to visitors to the centre;

3.  Ensure that classrooms are clean, tidy and prepared for teaching, according to individual tutor needs;

4.  To carry out admin tasks and phone calls relating to course enrolments and attendance:

·  Recording all course enquiries accurately and providing any follow-up required

·  Ensuring enrolment forms are completed correctly and on time

·  Taking and recording fees for courses (by cash, cheque or card payments)

·  Putting together Course Packs for tutors

·  Discussing course numbers, learner needs and resource requirements with tutors;

Location

The post will be based in Gainsborough.
