Process Objective 1d: To provide rapid oral HIV counseling and testing services and when needed, oral confirmation testing at the Drop-In Center and Virginia Tech Schiffert Health Center, reaching 1,500 high-risk or very high risk heterosexual during months 1 – 12 of the project. / Number Tested: 265

Venues: Drop-In Center, The Park, Backstreet Café, VA Tech, and other community settings / Testing numbers have been down since June. Also, we are no longer testing at the RCHD which was a good 50+ a month and homeless are now being coded under HRYA.
Outcome Objective: Provide 90% of clients receiving confirmation testing with post test prevention counseling and results within 30 days of the original test date. / 100% of clients receiving a confirmatory test received post test counseling and results within 30 days of original test date / One indeterminate client did not return for results or a retest
Outcome Objective: Document 12 newly confirmed HIV positive test results using oral fluid testing by December 31, 2011. / In 2011, 10 newly confirmed HIV positive test results were documented through oral fluid testing.
Outcome Objective: Provide 85% of clients with newly confirmed HIV positive test results with partner elicitation services PCRS) at the time of results by December 31, 2011. / 90% of newly confirmed HIV positive individuals were provided with partner elicitation services.
Outcome Objective: Document 35% follow-up HIV testing and counseling, through tracking of testing referrals. before December 31, 2011 / During the fourth quarter, 203 follow-up tests were documented (this does not include HRYA and CHARLI) for a follow-up percentage of 43%

In 2012, outreach techniques that will include the internet will be explored.

Outcome Objective: 45% of participants will be able to adapt a risk reduction plan to meet their needs after two sessions of RESPECT. / 49% or 91 clients have reported adapted the risk reduction steps to meet their needs after completing RESPECT sessions.
Outcome Objective: 95% of those who participate in RESPECT will agree to have a rapid HIV test by December 31, 2011. / 100% of RESPECT participants completed a rapid HIV test.
