COMMUNITY CARE SOLUTIONS’ CONTINUING EDUCATION OPTIONS

DDD requires that all Direct Care Workers complete 6 hours of Continuing Education between October 1st and September 30th each year. Listed here are a variety of ways that our providers can meet this requirement.

PLEASE NOTE: As this is a DDD requirement, providers who fail to complete their 6 hours by September 30th each year must be suspended on October 1st and will be unable to work until after the requirement has been completed in full.

You may meet your Continued Education requirement by providing appropriate documentation that you have successfully completed a class or workshoprelated to the field of Direct Care Giving that was offered by a college, university or other organization.

CONTINUING EDUCATION: INDEPENDENT STUDY

You may complete your Continued Education independently by readingbooks orviewing educational materialrelated to the field of Direct Care Giving.To receive this credit, providers must complete our Community Care Solutions Continued Education Form and turn in to our office. To confirm that a topic, book or video will qualify for your Continued Education credit, just contact of office. Providers who choose to read material related to Direct Care Giving will received 1 hour (1CEU) credit for every 50 pages read.
