  • Old Business:

Championship plaques are still available for those not yet picked up. These can be picked- up at the Forks Community Center. A suggestion was made to hand out plaques at the final game with nameplates to be made at a later date.

  • New Business:

A parent from Lopatcong approached the League requesting that her son, a 14 yr. old, be allowed to play on a U-13 team as Lopatcong will not be fielding a U-15 team. It was noted that a team with a player over the age bracket will not be eligible for play-offs with an older team member. Discussion was held and a suggestion was made for the student to play on a neighboring team that has a U-15 team.

Following discussion a motion was made to allow the student to play down on the U-13 team and have the team ineligible for playoffs. Motion was denied: 6 – Yes; 10 – No.

Steele Hill offered to accept the player on their U-15 team.

A question was raised: If you do not field teams for a single year do you have to re-apply to the League? No, as long as you have continued attendance at League meetings to stay current.

The following organizations will not be fielding any teams for the 2009-2010 season: Easton CYO, Lower Mt. Bethel and Notre Dame of Bethlehem.

  • Committees:

Scheduler Dennis Nugent reviewed the number of teams fielded for each organization. A copy will be e-mailed to all organizations for a final review prior to scheduling. A 17-year old league had 7 organizations enter. Discussion was held as to where this bracket would play and who would provide the officials. Last year Greenwich and Palmer hosted all games. Greenwich provided the officials. Pleasant Valley has offered to host some of these games.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.

The next scheduled CBL Meeting will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Forks Municipal Building.

Respectfully Submitted,

Debbie Gionis

Secretary
