Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service

Sunday, January 29 – In our parish

Students should wear their uniforms to Mass and celebrate their pride in St. Timothy Catholic School. They will receive a coupon for an out of uniform day on 2/7 if they bring in a note from their parents by 2/3.

Monday, January 30 – In Our Community

Students should highlight their individuality by dressing out of uniform. Pre-K will wear a favorite movie character shirt. Grades K to 5 will dress as their favorite movie character (appropriate). Grade 6 – 60’s, Grade 7 - 70’s, Grade 8 – 80’s, and Teachers – 50’s. Students will bring a donation to support the NJHS Fundraiser for Ms. Bielaski’s school in Tanzania. No homework day for students, so come to Chick-fil-A Night(4-7:30 p.m.) and support the Student Government fundraiser. A portion of all money spent will be returned to St. Timothy School.

Tuesday, January 31 – In Our Nation

Students will celebrate and honor those who serve our country in the military and in the government. Students in grades Pre-K to 5 will make cards or write notes to marines and sailors under the care of Fr. Dundon, thanking them for their service and sending them their prayers. Students in grades 6 to 8 will write letters to President Trump letting him know of their hopes for the future of our country and of their prayers for him as he begins office.

Wednesday, February 1 – Celebrating Vocations

Students will make a short pilgrimage to the McGivney room where they spend some time reading some inspiring vocations messages from various priests, seminarians, and sisters from our parish and school. They will visit with Jesus in the Adoration Chapel of Divine Mercy. In their classrooms, they will also work on a monstrance craft or a vocations prayer to show the beauty of Adoration and vocations. These will be used to decorate homeroom doors.

Thursday, February 2 – Celebrating Our Students

Students (K – 8) will show their unity by dressing in the same color across grade levels. A whole school (3Spelling Bee will cap off the afternoon.

8th – black, 7th – pink, 6th – green, 5th - yellow/gold, 4th – purple, 3rd – red,
2nd - blue, 1st – orange or white, K – Neon, Pre-K – red.

Friday, February 3 – Celebrating Faculty, Staff, and Volunteers

Students will celebrate and honor those who make St. Timothy tick. We will celebrate our service to others with our First Friday Food Pantry collection. The week will culminate in a fun Game Day activity at 2:15 pm in the gym. Pre-K will be playing games in their classrooms on Friday. There will also be an Open House that day at 10:00 a.m.

Saturday, February 4 – Celebrating Our Families

Parents will receive a thank you note/card from their student. Catholic Schools Week will end in rousing fashion with STS Talent Night.
