Green: We have a few things on the agenda for today, since there are a few people who aren’t here, we’re going to push back the Vice Chair elections to next week – you all have more time to prepare. We’re going to now do the Bill for the Dean’s and Provost’s Dinner, it’s November 23rd, in the HUB Ballroom.

If everyone would like to open up Sodexo’s website, and we can take a look at some pricing for the Bill. Little Italy is the catering theme we went with last year.

To keep things professional, and likely to please everyone, we can stick with that, as the other options don’t quite fit what we need.

Onto planning for the next flash lecture – Danni had a really good idea regarding a flash lecture on November 2nd or 3rd, as a way to get people to come out and, and get voters informed about exactly what it is they are voting on.

Caleb and Dan both make points regarding the importance of focusing on local and state elections, as they tend to get overlooked in the National process.

Green: We want to avoid talking about specific candidates, and focus on the process, as w don’t want to chance a speaker being bias.

Elherazy: We should try and ask Professor Danella, he’d be a good fit for the flash lecture. I can talk to him after class tomorrow.

Green: Let’s look at 25Live to see what’s available – for those of you who don’t know, that’s the program we use to book different spaces around campus. Both North Plaza and the Atrium are open for November 2nd; we’re looking at the same time, 12 - 12:30. There will be set up before that around 11:30 for anyone who can’t stay for the lecture and would still like to help.

Also, flyers for AAE – The event is on Thursday, everyone needs to sign up for a time that that they can be there. On Wednesday, I’d like to pass out flyers, and blow up social media with the digital flyer that Nathan made. I’ll be passing out flyers in the afternoon, if anyone would like to help – It can count as an office hour.

Does anyone have any update or any initiatives?

Kitchen: I have a report from the Library Advisory committee, the grand opening will be at the end of March, but it will be open on the first day of the spring semester. There will be lots of new study rooms, and new spaces for students. The hours are TBD. There will also be no more fines, and no more cash registers or credit card machines. All printing costs will be done through Mason Money. There will still be fines within the Consortium, and you will be charged if a book is never brought back. There is also the potential that not returning a book can count as an honor code violation.
