The Putnam County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on December 21, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the Putnam County Courthouse. David Berry opened the meeting and the pledge to the flag was given.
EXTENSION SUMMER INTERN
David Berry stated that the Extension Office wanted approval to hire Allacyn Arnold as a summer intern.
Donald Walton made a motion to approve. Rick Woodall seconded the motion. The motion carried.
X-SOFT CONTRACT
Dave Berry stated that the X-Soft contract that was previously approved had date corrections.
Rick Woodall made a motion to accept the changes. David Berry seconded. The motion carried.
COMMISSIONER MEETING DATES
Donald Walton made a motion to approve the meeting dates with corrections. Rick Woodall seconded the motion. The motion carried.
COMMISSIONER MEETING TIMES
David Berry stated that he was interested in changing all the 2016 Commissioner meeting times to morning sessions.
David Berry made a motion to change all meeting times to 9:00 a.m. Donald Walton seconded. The motion carried.
2016 HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
Donald Walton made a motion to approve the 2016 Holiday schedule with discussed corrections. Rick Woodall seconded. The motion carried.
PAYROLL DATES
David Berry made a motion to approve the 2016 payroll dates. Rick Woodall seconded. The motion carried.
CLAIMS DATES
Donald Walton made a motion to approve the2016 claim dates. Rick Woodall seconded. The motion carried.

David Berry stated that Charles Colbert is retiring and does not want to be reappointed. Mr. Berry authorized the Auditor’s Office to advertise for a replacement. Rick Woodall made a motion to reappoint Royal Secor. Donald Walton seconded. The motion carried.

HIGHWAY
Mike Ricketts stated that the Highway Department has an opening for a mechanic and a driver. Mr. Ricketts also informed the Commissioners that as of December 10, 2015, a total of $71,918.51 has been spent on stone and gravel.
Discussion was made on a wrecked dump truck.
PAYROLL 12/11/15 & 12/23/15
Rick Woodall made a motion to approve payroll for December 11th and 23rd, 2015. Donald Walton seconded the motion. The motion carried.
CLAIMS
Claims paid on 12/10/15 were approved on a motion made by Donald Walton and seconded by Rick Woodall. The motion carried.
Claims paid on 12/17/15 were approved on a motion made by Donald Walton and seconded by David Berry. The motion carried.
Claims paid on 12/21/15 were approved on a motion made by David Berry and seconded by Donald Walton. The motion carried.
MINUTES
Minutes from 12/7/15 were approved on a motion made by Donald Walton and seconded by Rick Woodall. The motion carried.
The Commissioners acknowledged the mail.
