Men’s Game of the Week – StrongArms vs. Xmen (A League)

For the second straight week, the cardiac Xmen played a thrilling game. This time they went toe-to-toe against the StrongArms. Unlike last week, this time, the Xmen pulled out the win, winning 52 to 49 in overtime. Julien had 23 points and Edmund added 15 for the Xmen. Donnelly and Kissling each had 12 for the StrongArms.

Ladies Game of the Week – Wolves vs. Vulcans

The shockingly winless Wolves took on the Vulcans in a must win game. With no players available on their bench, the Wolves still managed to take a six point lead with little time to go in regulation. However, some heady defense by the Vulcans resulted in the game going to overtime. One overtime was not enough though and another extra session was needed. The Wolves finally put the Vulcans away in overtime number two, winning 51 to 48. India Thomas and Mallory Carrico had stellar games, finishing with 26 and 22 respectively. Mia Peak led the Vulcans with 14 and A. Johnson had 10. The FBI missing persons division was notified to stop looking for Kaitlyn Conboy as she made a rare appearance at the game.

Legend of the Week –Matthews (Raiders – and now WestCoasters)

Fresh off the disaster known as drafting Darius Heyward Bey, who knew what crazy plan Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis had in store for the Legends team he sponsors. In a rare moment of insightfulness, Davis managed to pick up Matthews. Matthews had a stellar game for the Raiders with 29 points as the Raiders destroyed the Wildcats 68 to 34. Subsequently, the hurting WestCoasters of the Elite division received word of the A level stud Matthews, and quickly picked up his partial contract for the remainder of the season.

3 on 1 and he still scores!

Other Stars in No Particular Order:

1)  Allen (Hustle) – In a game which his team only scored 35 points, allen led the way with 26 points as the Hustle fell to the Killers 36 to 35.

2)  Crowder (LittleLeaguers) – Thanks to Crowder’s 15 points, the LittleLeaguers defeated the Blades, 49 to 41.

Ladies Legend of the Week – India Thomas (Wolves)

1)  Sara McIntosh (Grippers) – McIntosh led the Grippers with 18 in their 12 point win over the Bankers, 56 to 44.

2)  Lilley (Bankers) – In the same game, Lilley had 19 points to keep the Bankers close.

Highlights

1.  / Thangs / The Thangs got back on the winning side with a 46 to 39 win over the Hoosiers as Scott Pitts went off for 32 points.
2.  / Hoosiers / Brandmark had 14 and Browning had 8 for the Hoosiers.
3.  / Maximus / Team Maximus destroyed the Terminators 62 to 32 as Little had 32 and Owens added 16. Karma may start playing a role though as it looks like team Maximus may be forced to move to the A/B League.
4.  / Terminators / Belcher and Copeland each had 8 for the Terminators.
5.  / Comanche / Stellatos had 13 while Swinton added 8 for the Comanche as they defeated the Zephyrs 49 to 37.
6.  / Zephyrs / John Rehberger, gasp!, had 10 points for the Zephyrs. He even got a rebound too!
7.  / Khanmen / Dewispeiaere had 14 and Miller had 13 for the Khanmen in their 58 to 51 win over the HoundDogs.
8.  / HoundDogs / Tyson and Tanenbaum led the way for the HoundDogs with 20 and 13 respectively.
9.  / Inferno / The Inferno defeated the Thunder 45 to 29 as #28 had 16 and Sarvis had 14.
10.  / Thunder (Women’s League) / J.A Smith led the way for the Thunder with 13 points.
11.  / Borg / The Borg had no trouble with the GreyThunder, winning 62 to 38 as Moniello had 22 and Chris Snyder added 16.
12.  / GreyThunder / Cropp (19 points) and Boehm (14 points) were the only offensive threats for the GreyThunder in the game. The rest of the team were just offensive.
13.  / Spartans / With balanced scoring, the Spartans defeated the Ninja 51 to 44 as Ruzic had 12 and Windt had 11 and Williams added 9.
14.  / Ninja / Hay had 23 for the Ninja in the loss.
15.  / Money / The Money took care of the Jackals, winning 64 to 55. Peyrebrune had 16 and Bechtle had 14 for the victors.
16.  / Jackals / Toler had 13 in the loss while Goff had 12 for the Jackals.
17.  / Mantua / With Sharman (22 points) leading the way, the Mantua defeated FullThrottle 52 to 47. Silkowitz chipped in with 11 for the Mantua.
18.  / FullThrottle / Bennett had 16 and Lester Maynard had 11 for team FullThrottle.
19.  / LittleLeaguers / See above. Stanos had a nice game as well with 11 points.
20.  / Blades / Thys had 12 and Hale had 9 in the loss.
21.  / Elders / The Elders had a little bit of trouble but pulled away and defeated the WestCoasters 66 to 60 as Rice had 20 and Anderson had 18.
22.  / WestCoasters / The new stud Matthews from A Division had 29 for the WestCoasters and Newell added 12. Commish Cortese made a rare playing appearance (someone thought 5 with him was better than 4 without!) and actually scored 4 points in an Elite game!
23.  / Killers / Alex Dias (WHAT!), rebounding machine, led the way for the Killers with 8 points. O’Donnell and Champion each had 7 in the 36 to 35 win over the Hustle.
24.  / Hustle / See above.
25.  / Borg / The Borg won their second game of the day, beating the Killers 47 to 41 as Bogin had 14 and Moniello had 11.
26.  / Killers / O’Donnell had 11 and Champion added 10 for the Killers in the defeat.
27.  / GreyThunder / The GreyThunder defeated the Hustle 40 to 38 as Adams had 11 and Ipsan added 8.
28.  / Hustle / Padin led the way for the Hustle in their second defeat of the evening with 15 points.
29.  / CACI / CACI took care of the Showtime, 35 to 30 as Irineo had 9 and Pruett had 8.
30.  / Showtime / Moyer had 11 for Showtime.
31.  / Raiders / See above. Richards had a nice game as well with 14 points.
32.  / Wildcats / Greene had 13 and Velasco had 11 for the ‘Cats who are trying to get John Wall to play for them.
