Come and join with us this Easter. Come and discover the love of God, the hope of Jesus and what it all means for you. Make time for contemplating and celebrating. Make time to worship. Make time to meet with God and discover what he has done for you and is doing in you.

A LENT LOVE PROJECT

As we journey thought Lent together this year, we are encouraging everyone to undertake a challenge each week.

Week 1: ‘The Hand of Love’

Write a letter to someone saying how much you appreciate them. This is far less ephemeral than an email, that can be easily or accidentally deleted.

Week 2: ‘The Voice of Love’

Telephone someone each night with the express idea of encouraging them, thanking them, or expressing your appreciation.

(from THE HEAVENLY PARTY by Michele Guinness adapted from an idea from ‘Why Celebrate’ by Sara Wenger Shenk)

Week 3: ‘The Feet of Love’

Take a very simple gift, possibly hand-made, or some seasonal hand-picked flowers, to 2 or 3 people who would benefit from the encouragement.

Week 4: ‘The Heart of Love’

Make a list of around 5 people, friends and enemies, you want to pray for daily. Forgive them if they have wronged you. Ask their forgiveness if you know you have upset them.

Week 5: ‘The Mind of Love’

Use this week to reflect on where you feel you are at. Praise God for his love, whether you are in the heights or the depths. Let go of those who annoy or frustrate youand try to laugh at their foibles.

Week 6: ‘The Life of Love’

Get outdoors if you can, enjoy a walk with friends and share God’s new life in creation. As a treat, take friends, or someone younger, on an outing to a museum, exhibition, or theatre and give thanks for the creativity God has shared with human beings.

Jesus said to her “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.”(John 11:25-26)
