Colourful.Intuitive.Helpful.
These are just some of the words our pilot customers have used to describe the all-
new website! We’re excited to announce that you too will soon be able to experience LifeWorks in a whole new way at
Your employee assistance program website (secure access available any time from anywhere) is being completely re-designed, and this new version will go live on December 19, 2012. Refreshed and revitalized, with improved navigation and some exciting new features, the site is sure to be a hit with users!
How is the website changing?
- Look and feel: We’ve updated the site’s appearance to reflect the nature of the supportive services we provide – friendly, warm and inviting.
- New navigation: We’ve revised the site’s organization to make it easier to navigate our vast library of content and interactive tools, and to better represent the way users search the site. We’ve collapsed the 13 categories that make up the current site navigation into five: work, life, family, health and money!
- Enhanced search capabilities to help your users find what they’re looking for faster.
- Clear access to additional services, such as telephonic and email contact.
- Design that enables prompt content updates: The site’s design will enable us make more frequent, eye-catching changes to content, encouraging repeat visits and providing a channel to communicate time-sensitive information.
Please see the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) below for answers to common inquiries. Or, if you have additional questions about the website, please contact your Account Management representative at any time.
1)Why is my assistance program website changing?
Ceridian has improved your assistance program website. We have simplified its navigation, applied a visually-appealing new look and feel, and added functionality to be able to update the site’s content more promptly. Ceridian Corporation launched this new website to its first group of U.S-based customers in November 2011, and completed all U.S. customer migrations in July 2012. We are happy to report that to date, we have received excellent feedback about the site, from increased ease-of-use to improved searchability. We believe our Canadian customers and their employees/members/users will also be pleased with the redesign.
2)Can I get a sneak peek at the new website? When will it be available for viewing?
The Canadian version of your assistance program site is currently in development. We will host a number of live demos (via webinar)when the site is close to completion. These sessions will be available for our clients’ program administrators, and we will send you an email once we’ve confirmed the webinar dates. We will record one of those demos, and provide a link to the recording in a future communication in case you are unable to attend a live event.
3)According to an email I received from Ceridian Canada Communications on September 21, 2012, my organization’s log-in user ID(s) and password(s) for the assistance program website are changing. Why is that?
As an important element of a confidential service, your assistance program website needs to be safe and secure. This new version of the site has increased security measures, and as part of that higher security standard, the site requires that the user ID in each customer log-in be unique. (Each log-in is a combination of user ID and password.) We realize log-in credential changes may cause an inconvenience for our customers, and for that we apologize. However, we feel that in the long-term, this is central to a safer, more secure site.
4)What will happen if one of our users tries to log in to the new site after December 19, 2012, and he/she has forgotten our new user ID and/or password?
For a few months following the December 19 switch-over to the new website, any time users who have been assigned a new user ID and/or password enter a former user ID and/or password (pre-December 19), the failed attempt will automatically generate a pop-up dialog box communicating the change. This pop-up box will include the
correct user ID and password information specific to your organization so users can attempt log-in again with correct credentials.
5)According to an email I received from Ceridian Canada Communications on September 21, 2012, the user IDs and/or passwords that will be effective for our organization as of December 19, 2012, are NOT changing. Why is that?
Although the majority of customer user IDs and/or passwords needed to change to conform to new site standards, this did not apply to all customers. If your log-in credentials already met required security standards, they will not change.
6)Will you provide me with draft messaging/communication tools that I can use to convey this information to our users/employees/members?
Yes. In November 2012, we will send you a reminder communication regarding assistance program website changes, including links to customizable communication tools you can use to share information with your users – both about the website redesign and log-in credential changes, if applicable. These tools will include:
- Sample email announcement
- Sample one-pager flyers you can use as a poster or email attachment
We will also include a promotional feature about the new site in the Q4 2012 issue of your quarterly assistance program newsletter. Please note that this article will NOT include information about your specific log-in credentials, but it will help to raise awareness of the new site.
7)We have a link to the current assistance program website on our corporate intranet site. Will the launch of the new website affect this link?
If your users are simply clicking on a direct link to your program site, or typing these addresses directly into the internet address bar, they will be directed to the program site automatically. Changes are not required. However, if your organization has a ‘deep link’ available to users, ie, a clickable link on a secure corporate intranet that enables access without logging in, it will need to change in order to be functional as of December 19, 2012. We will include information about how we’re addressing ‘deep links’ in a future communication.
8)In order to access we use our current user ID and password. How will this issue be addressed if our program website log-in credentials are changing?
If your user ID and/or password are changing, you will need to use those new credentials to log in to effective December 19, 2012. We opted to apply this change automatically for your convenience so that the log-in credentials for both sites will match after December 19, 2012.
9)What should I do if I have a new user ID and/or password, and when I try it out on December 19, 2012, or shortly thereafter, they don't work? Who should I contact?
Effective December 19, 2012, if you cannot access the new assistance program website using the user ID and/or password included for your organization in the September 21 email, please contact your Account Management representative. He/she will look into your account to ensure accuracy of the log-in information you are using.
