  1. Full-time Student Tuition:

Full-time students attend the school for the ten-month period from mid-August to late May, inclusive. The school year calendar includes 175.5 contact days over a 42-week period. Full-time tuition for all preschool students, and for all Kindergarten through 8th Grade students by choice, is $11,000 for the academic year and comprehensively applies to the School’s operating hours from 8:00 a.m., to 5:00 p.m. Part-time tuition for preschool students is $7,000 for the academic year (see Section 3 below). Full-time non-comprehensive tuition for Kindergarten through 8th Grade students is $9,000.00 and applies to the regular operating hours of the Kindergarten-8th Grades (8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.).

Families with full-time students may choose to pay the entire year’s tuition by March 1st and receive a 5% discount OR pay in equal monthly installments by the fifteenth day of each month from July 2012 through March 2013. Families may request a twelve-month payment plan running from June 2012 through May 2013 but no prepayment or sibling discounts apply to a twelve-month payment plan.

For families who do not prepay tuition yearly and who have more than one full-time student at CoIS, an optional sibling discount of 5% is available. The sibling discount applies to each child attending CoIS full-time. Multiple discounts such as a prepaid discount and a sibling discount are not allowed. There is no discount for pre-payment of reduced tuition from any financial aid award or for part-time students. Prepaid and sibling discounts do not apply to payments made after the March 1stdeadline.

To apply to the School for admission, each candidate pays a $50 nonrefundable application fee. Candidates who are accepted into the School pay nonrefundable one month’s tuition and nonrefundable mandatory fees (items 6e-h below) upon signing the contract. Families who pay tuition late are assessed a $50 administrative fee and $5/day charge until payment has been made. There is a $25 charge for any bounced check.

Tuition does not cover all costs of operating the School long-term and families are expected to make up the difference each year with charitable contributions from individual, corporate or foundation sources.

2. Financial aid. The School participates in outside tuition assistance programs for all grade levels. Limited funds are available through the School for need-based financial assistance to full-time students. The financial aid committee accepts standard applications from interested applicants on a rolling basis Available funds are distributed using objective standards and without regard to the race, religion, color, ethnic origin, national origin, or sexual orientation of the applicant.

3. Part-time preschool students. CoIS offers a part-time option three full days (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) per week to meet the needs of families in the preschool levels. The part-time tuition for a part-time preschool student is $7,000 for the academic year. No prepayment or sibling discounts apply to part-time students.

4. Camp days. CoIS conducts day and week long programs from time to time during school breaks and during the summer months. The fees for these programs appear below.

  1. After hours enrichment. CoIS provides enrichment programs throughout the school year during the 8:00-9:00 a.m. and 4:00-6:00 p.m. weekday hours and on weekends. Language and other special programs are offered to both CoIS registered students as well as members of the wider community. Unless otherwise stated on the registration form, the fees for these enrichment programs are paid by semester or by academic year. Drop-in rates for these programs are $15/person/hour.

Unless otherwise stated on the registration form, an optional family discount of 5% is available for families with more than one enrichment student at CoIS. The family discount applies to each enrichment student in the family. Multiple discounts such as a prepaid discount and a family discount are not allowed.

6. Other fees. CoIS has a schedule of fees for other services and programs.
