Macomb County Youth Law Enforcement Academy
This is for high school students interested in pursuing a career in the Criminal Justice field. The academy will be held on Monday afternoons from 4:30 – 7:00pm on November 6, 13, 20, & 27. AES Engineering Scholarship: Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. Voice of Democracy Competition ~ Open to students in grades 9-12. The Voice of Democracy is the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ (VFW’s) premier scholarship program. The theme for this year is American History: Our Hope for the Future. To apply, record your original 3-5 minute essay on a standard cassette tape or CD on this year’s theme. AXA Achievement Scholarship ~ The AXA Achievement Scholarship offers college scholarships of $2,500, $10,000 and $25,000 to high schools seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace. The Prudential spirit of Community awards program: The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards were created in 1995 to recognize students in the middle and high school grades who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service. National Co-Op Scholarship Program ~ Students are encouraged to apply for the ninth annual National Co-op scholarship. To qualify, students must: have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or better and complete all the required admissions applications materials and be accepted for the 2012-2013 academic year at one of the WACE Partner Institutions (Drexel university, Johnson & Wales University, Kettering University, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Cincinnati, University of Toledo) To apply, complete an on-line application at Deadline is February 15, 2018.
Credit Union one William G. coyne memorial Scholarship: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following requirements: Complete 30 or more hours of documented, qualified community service during Junior/Senior year of high school, Be a 2018 graduating high school senior, Be a member of a family that has belonged to Credit Union ONE of Michigan for a minimum of 6 months (in good standing), Have a cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0 or above, Plan to enroll in, beginning in the fall of 2018, a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university, or accredited trade or vocational school.
