District Technology Meeting Update / ·  Dr. Sadiq Ikharo discussed the Smart Classrooms and additions that the District was making: e.g. Computer, Desk/Command Table, and Level 3 class room for each campus.
·  Campus Coordinators to assist in computer and equipment selection
·  Completion 2/1/11
·  Distance Ed to become Technology in Classroom
·  Distance Ed Support still an issue
·  District Committee Reorganized: Mike Orkin, Chr., Fabian and JoAnn Co Chr. and Dr. Kenney Facilitator
·  Grade book was high priority for Committee. This item was to go the PIT Meeting / Bob: Student Services and Support for online students is an issue. This includes Moodle support, online tutors, Library access, DSPS and student services support.
Bob: Suggested that Committee appoint separate Distance Ed subcommittee / Bala Sampathra
Appointment of District Technology Faculty Representative / ·  With Gary Perkins promotion to Dean, COA needs another faculty member to represent COA at the District Technology Meetings / Bob Grill will make the appointment / Bob Grill / September 30, 2010 is latest date for Oct. 1st District Tech Meeting

Election of Co-Chair of Tech Committee / Because of the demands of Dean Perkins, it was recommended that a Co-Chair of the COA Technology committee be appointed. / Joe Camara suggested Bala. With unanimous support that recommendation was approved.
District Distance Education Representatives / ·  With the departure of Shirleen Schermerhorn COA needs to revisit the Distance Education committee membership / ·  Ed Loretto agreed to continue to be COA’s Representative
·  Kelly Pernell was nominated by Jane McK and seconded by Ed L.
·  Kelley was unanimously elected / Ed Loretto and Kelly Pernell
COA Website / ·  Question: Who will manage Website and WebPages?
·  / Bob: His concern is what it takes to keep a site up to date and current!
Bala: Website Oversite Committee needs to be set up:
-  Membership
-  Policy/Issues
-  Operation
-  Scope / COA Web Committee
Cameras / ·  Dr. K: The campus has been measured for cameras and a security level of 24 hours set.
