I.  Mock Registration

Kirkwood’s second mock registration held February 8 and 9 to test the current Colleague settings and functions and was a success! Over 600 student registrations were processed (all mock registrations) including credit, continuing education and post secondary. Areas tested include: pre-requisites, registration priorities, billing, refunds, add/drop classes, change of academic program, advisor, address or social security number, and changes to class sections.

EagleNet was also tested to register students and pay bills online. EagleNet will also allow students to view their schedule as well as add or drop classes.

II. Registration Trainings

Fall 2005 will be the first semester of registration through Colleague. In order to prepare for this, numerous trainings will be held. There will be separate trainings for department coordinators, faculty advisors and faculty. Trainings are being scheduled for the weeks of March 14, March 21 and March 28. Watch upcoming Colleague E-Updates, look for information in departments or log on to http://www.kirkwood.edu/datatel/ under “Registration Training” for complete schedules.

III. Weekly Tip – RINQ Screen

Here is a handy trick to track all the Requisitions you initiate! Choose mnemonic RINQ (Requisition Inquiry). At the lookup box enter, “;IN Firstname Lastname” (i.e. – ;IN Jim Loukota). If you are not sure of your “Colleague full name” look-up a Requisition number you initiated and view how Colleague auto-populated the “Initiator” field.

Colleague presents a list of all Requisitions initiated by you. You are able to view most of the important information associated with each Requisition such as:

·  BPO Number

·  PO Number

·  Description

·  Status

This info (and other handy tricks) is also available at the lookup help and in the Requisition Training manual.

IV. Finance Questions
