Brrrrr…….It’s getting cold outside! The children have been busy exploring their outside environment here at Pre-School over the past few weeks and we have lots of plans to get out and about with the children as much as we can this half term too.
Cold weather clothing
As the weather is already getting colder, please can we ask that you provide suitable cold weather clothing for your child to wear whilst at nursery. We will be spending as much time outside as we can and therefore children need to be equipped with the appropriate clothing such as wellies, hats, scarves and gloves – as well as a change of

clothes. Please ensure that they are clearly marked with your child’s name.
Fees – please settle any outstanding invoices. Invoices are to be paid within 2weeks of receiving your invoice. Failure to pay promptly may result in your child’s place being withdrawn. Please note that we are now able to take credit/debit card payments over the telephoneplease phone 0161 427 4730.

30-HOURS FUNDED CHILDCARE
With the January term fast approaching, HMRC are encouraging parents to apply for30-hoursfunded childcare as soon as possible. HMRC strongly advise parents to apply before30thNovember to make sure they get their code in good time for next term.
The following eligibility criteria applies:
- both parents must be working (or the sole parent is working in a lone parent family), and each parent earns a weekly minimum equivalent to 16 hours at national minimum wage or living wage, and less than £100,000 per year
- working will include employed and self-employed persons
- in general families where one parent does not work (or neither parent works) will not be eligible for these additional hours
- both parents are employed but one or both parents is temporarily away from the workplace on parental, maternity or paternity leave
- both parents are employed but one or both parents is temporarily away from the workplace on adoption leave
- both parents are employed but one or both parents is temporarily away from the workplace on statutory sick pay
- one parent is employed and one parent has substantial caring responsibilities based on specific benefits received for caring or one parent is employed and one parent is disabled or incapacitated based on receipt of specific benefits
HMRC also wants to remind existing parents to reconfirm their eligibility for30-hoursevery three months.
