Attendees: Renee Donlan, John Leonard, Andy Kleczkowski, Mike Donlan, Steve DeMartino, Rick Quirk, Nick Faiella, Stephanie Berry, Rick Mach, Scott Strang, Bruce Willet

Call to Order 8:00pm.

November meeting minutes approved - unanimous vote.

Director’s reports:

Treasurer:

- Deb provided her final report as treasurer.

- $9,000 in the account.

- All bills are paid.

- Need to create budget for 2016.

- Liberty bank needs a copy of our minutes showing the new treasurer, once elected.

- Action: remove Deb Kulpik as a signer on the accounts.

Meeting minutes:

-Boys tryouts Jan 31

-Need to schedule girls tryouts – Mike Mancini action

-Open house: time to schedule an open house. T-ball registrations will need to be done in person. Opportunity to meet with new league parents, recruit coaches and board members. Renee will schedule with the community center. Tentative date Feb 18. Additional date Mar 2. Time 6-8.

-Opening day ceremonies: time to start planning. This is Middlefield’s 150th year.

-Schedule conflicts: Renee to look up Notre Dame and St Colman calendars. Middlefield 150 year celebration is June 2-10. Location Peckham or Possibly Durham Fair Grounds.

-Volunteer forms needed for 2016. Returning forms should work this year.

-MLB pitch, hit, and run. One day event, organizers are trying to get 50 towns to participate. Maybe do this during opening day, mid-season break, or another time. Ages 7-14. Stephanie will follow up and get more information.

-Fields: field upgrade list provided. Historical budget for fields has been $10-15k. New item: increase height of Atwell fence. Related to potential hosting of state majors tournament (would not be this year). Plan is to review the list and come up with top priorities. Rick will get three quotes for top soil and grading. Mike Donlan will look at stairs for PA booth. Another suggestion: run electricity to the batting cages. Goal is to have first field work day in early March. Action: Rick Mach to get updated quotes for raising back stop.

-Pitching clinic: baseball being organized by Joe Fournier. Suggestion: look into having CRHS players as assistants. Tony Calcagni is interested in having CRHS softball players assist.

-Bylaws and constitution: Scott will email to board members, needs feedback before next month’s meeting. Need 2/3 approval.

-Spring sign ups: notification went out via email. We will send to schools for publication. Town Times now charges for announcements.

Director’s updates

Safety: first aid and CPR classes. Proposal to start earlier this year. One four hour session per topic, combine into one day. Possible date: March 19. One person on each team’s coaching staff needs to be CPR certified. Safety plan needs to be reviewed. Action: Mike Donlan.

Minors boys: tryout planning starting soon.

Web site credentials: contact Amy Moore for new credentials needed.
