The minutes of the Planning Meeting held on the 12th April 06 were received and unanimously approved.

Resolved that the following Planning Decisions from South Staffordshire Council were received and noted

05/01275/FULErection of 10m x 6m car valeting marquee at Oaken Garage, Holyhead Road, Oaken – Refused

06/00230/ADVIlluminated sign at West Midlands Co-Op – Approved

06/00289/FULAlteration and refurbishment of entrance and reception area at Codsall Community High School – Approved

06/00287/FULRe-building and converting the existing garage into kitchen, study, utility room, shower room and garage, front porch to be rebuilt with tiled roof over at 45 Chapel Lane, Codsall – Approved

6PLANNING APPLICATIONS

Resolved that the following recommendations be made to

South Staffordshire Council

06/00401/FULErection of 2 pair semi detached houses at land adjacent Thistle Cottage, Church Lane, Codsall Wood.(Held over from meeting of 12th April to allow councillors time to visit the site)

Cllr. Oatley left the chamber whilst this item was discussed. The Clerk advised the meeting that he had received several verbal objections.

REFUSAL RECOMMENDED

Over development, not in keeping with the character of the area.

Difficult highway access onto a narrow country lane/prejudicial to highway safety.

Poor relationship to adjoining buildings.

Conflict with character of the area.

Conflict with pattern of development

Cllr. Berg left the chamber other members asked Cllr. Evans to take the chair.

After discussion APPROVAL was recommended by Cllr. Bissell, Seconded by Cllr. Campbell.
