AGENDA
1.0Call to Order and Roll Call
Members: Jim Reed, Chair; Jerry Cunningham; Shane O’Reilly; Ira Dorter
2.0Discussion and possible action regarding a proposed Ordinance (File No. 140009) amending the Housing Code to allow the storage of tenants’ personal items other than automobiles in the garages of homes, apartment buildings, and residential hotels; and making environmental findings. The action would be to make a recommendation to the full Code Advisory Committee for their further action. (25 minutes)
3.0General discussions and possible action regarding a proposed Ordinance (File No. 140037) amending the Planning Code by creating a definition for ownership of a building containing two or more dwelling units, or possession thereof under a written contract to purchase or transfer ownership, by persons, firms, companies, corporations or partnerships, where persons, firms, companies, corporations or partnerships have or may have an undivided ownership interest in the property; by agreement have an exclusive right of occupancy to an individual dwelling unit; where the dwelling unit have not been mapped as a condominium, community apartment or stock cooperative per Subdivision Code, Article 9; creating a requirement for the Planning Department to review the proposed project for compliance with the Planning Code and any applicable design guidelines approved by the Planning Commission; requiring any application for conversion of an existing building from One Ownership to Fractionalized Ownership to meet all applicable provisions of the City’s Housing, Building and City Planning Codes including standards for fire and life safety consistent with new construction, pending Board approval. The action would be to make a recommendation to the full Code Advisory Committee for their further action. (25 minutes)
4.0Subcommittee Members’ and Staff’s identification of new agenda items, as well as current agenda items to be continued to another subcommittee regular meeting or special meeting. Subcommittee discussion and possible action regarding administrative issues related to building codes.
5.0Public Comment: Public comment will be heard on items not on this agenda but within the jurisdiction of the Code Advisory Committee. Comment time is limited to 3 minutes per person or at the call of the Chair.
6.0Adjournment.
