Evidence of Change—Mid Year

In your school strategic plan, you identified the means to monitor the implementation of strategies. List below your monitoring plan and any evidence you have of change in your building for each student achievement and school performance goal. Evidence should be based on the monitoring plan specified in your plan.

Student Achievement Goal 1: Mathematics- Decrease the percent of Level One students, particularly in the subgroups of ELL and SWD. We will also increase the percentage of students enrolled in advanced content and AVID classes.
Monitoring Plan / Evidence of Change
Weekly Content Meetings/Team Collaboration for Lesson Plan Development / Teachers meet weekly to plan for rigorous instruction.
Teachers analyze and disaggregate student data and adjust instruction accordingly.
Student achievement increased from Common Assessment #2 to Common Assessment #3 from 32% to 55% of students meeting the standard.
Student achievement increased from 0% of SWD meeting the standards on Benchmark #2 to 48% meeting the standard on Common Assessment #3.
Student achievement increased from 12% of ELL students meeting the standards on Benchmark #2 to 46% meeting the standards on Common Assessment #3.
All math teachers conduct afternoon tutoring sessions each Monday.
All Math 8 teachers extend tutoring for our Extended Learning Program on Tuesday afternoons.

Student achievement on Common Assessment #2; more than 50% of the students scored at or above 63%.
Student achievement on Benchmark #2; more than 50% of the students scored between 50%-60%. Fifty percent is a key indicator that students will experience success on the CRCT. (800-baseline score)
Student achievement on Common Assessment #3; 83% of the students scored between 50-100%.

School Performance Goal: To increase the percentage of families who attend and participate in academic based programs, we have implemented parent outreach activities to establish and maintain a strong bond between school and home environments, as well as stress the importance of academics.

Decrease in the number of severe discipline (NCLB incidents).

School Performance-Parental Involvement/Decrease in student discipline issues / Utilize calling post or mass emailing to continue communicating with parents to inform them prior to PTSA meetings, Academic Math/Literacy Nights, etc.
Continue implementation of male mentorship programs.
Increase the number of parent/teacher conferences that occur to discuss academics.
Increase number of meetings with L44-Homeroom Parent group.
