Coaching Scheme for NET Examinations

(IQAC will participate as Ex-officio Member)

Aim

To create an awareness of the National Eligibility Test for JRF and Eligibility for Lecturership Examinations conducted by UGC / CSIR, Government of India.

Purpose

  1. To organize classes for students in preparing for Paper I
  2. To conduct special coaching classes on the subjects in Paper II of NET examination

Organized special coaching classes on General Aptitude with emphasis on logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles etc for Paper I

Yearly Regular Activities

Special Coaching Classes were conducted one month before NET Examination with the association of the Members / Liaison Officers and the Department concerned under the Subject discipline groups (Arts, Science and Management) - Nearly 280 students are benefited every year.

Plan of Action

  1. Coaching classes for Paper I are organized in the second week of December, every year in association with the Alagappa University Study Circle.
  2. Special Coaching Classes for Paper II are arranged on the third week of December annually, with the Members of the Cell.

Activities of Distinction

In order to aid the aspirants for competitive examinations, an exclusive "Competitive Exam Section" was created in the Alagappa University - Corporation Bank Public Library at L.CT.L. Palaniappa Chettiar Memorial Auditorium with a total of 854 books, e-contents - 4 Nos, Computers - 2 Nos (Server - 1, OPAC - 1). The user (both students as well as public) statistics from academic year 2012-2013 to 2015-2016 is enclosed.
