Coach Patrick Crawford Bio

Coach Pat is a local product who started playing soccer at the age of 9 years old. Coach Pat grew up in Anne Arundel County attending Four Season’s elementary, Crofton Junior High School, Arundel High School before graduating from Old Mill High School. After graduating high school Coach Pat attended Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) where he earned All-American Honors and set many school records. He was inducted into the school’s wall of fame. After attending AACC he moved onto Salisbury State University where he started each game of the next two years leading the team in scoring his senior year while earning an All-Conference selection. After college, Coach Pat was drafted first pick, #6 pick overall of the Eastern Indoor Soccer League’s (EISL) Lafayette Swampcats. He led the league and team in scoring while earning a league championship. Coach Pat continued to play professional for the next 6 years before returning to Maryland. In the fall of 2014, he returned to professional play in the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) as a member of the Harrisburg Heat for the 2014-2015 season.

Currently Coach Pat owns, coaches and plays for Arundel Soccer Association (ASA) Charm City FC of the Maryland Major Soccer League. He also is the General Manager for the ASA Charge of the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) and National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). Coach Pat has coached at many different levels in youth soccer from recreational to travel. Currently he is the Co-Head Coach for ASA Ambush ’05 (CMSSL D1) and the head Coach for ASA Charm City ’06 (CMSSL D1) teams. In addition, Coach Pat serves as a Board Member at ASA.

Coach Pat has obtained the following Coaching license:

  • USSF "E" License from the US Soccer Federation

Coach Pat carries a love for teaching the game and his sharing passion and wealth of knowledge and experience with kids. Coach Pat’s professional experience coupled with his enthusiasm to give back to a game that has given so much to him has lead him to coaching. He is excited about the challenge of taking his knowledge and teaching it to the youth of ASA and the local area.

ASA Charm City is a high level travel team completing two seasons in CMSSL Division 1. Charm City will play in NCSL for the fall 2016/Spring 2017 season. Members of this team are expected to have ahigh level of dedication and commitment. ASA Charm City trains year round and will play in 4-5 tournaments a year to include major holidays such as Memorial Day.
