· Team Objectives:
· Have fun, win if possible, learn team and soccer skills
· Pledge:
· Coach: Follow Philosophies, train players, respect game, ensure safety, set example
· Players: Respect, Hard work, Honor game, Listen to Coach
· Parents: Support/encourage player, support San Bruno AYSO, Support coach & team, keep perspective, Refrain from making negative comments
(help w/equipment, p/u trash, volunteer when needed, players to practice & game on time)
· Kids think up name for team (plan out how they’ll do it, show uniform color)
Review Player Registration/Medical Release Forms
· Special needs/medicines/problems
· Cell Phone & Office numbers, email address
· Will get you a team roster at first practice or by ______
Review AYSO Philosophies and rules
· Open Registration, Everyone Plays, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, Balance Team
· Safehaven, Concussion & Coach Training
· We play 3 before 4, and change positions
· Pledges Coach & Parent - should praise all player, including other team, example of Sportsmanship
· Review Rules
· 4- quarters (U6 = 2 – 7-1/2 min., U8= 10 min., U10= 12-1/2 min., U12= 15 min.)
· Referee keeps game Safe, Fair & Fun
· U6=Keep game moving, U8=No Cards, but some fouls, U10= Offside, U12=Cards
· Necessary Equipment
· Shin guards – ABSOLUTELY can’t practice without
· Ball if possible (U6/U8 =Sz3, U10/U12=Sz4, U14-U19=Sz5)
· No jewelry (no pierced earrings)
· Cleats okay not required (all about safety)
Volunteers (see team volunteer form)
· Assistant Coach – ?????
· Team Parent – helps coordinate non coaching activities (banner, snacks)
· Referee – Able to ‘run’ line or center referee. See www.sanbrunoayso.org for training
· Banner-maker, Snack Scheduler, Party planner, Videographer,etc.
· Practice helpers – All parents are welcome & requested to assist at practice.

Practice

· Pre Season: Tues/Thursday 5 – 6:30pm 8/?, 8/?, 9/?, 9/?,
· During Season Thursday 5 – 6:30pm: 9/?, 9/?, 9/?, 9/?, 10/?, 11/? (state last practice)
· Drop off / Pick up - Not before 4:55 , Pickup by 6:30 pm, absolutely by 6:35.
If pick up late, call my cell phone. I’ll call parents numbers at 6:35 for 10 minutes, then …….

Other Information
· Soccerfest is Friday, September ? for the parade and Saturday, September ? – 1 game.
· Game Schedule provided late August, but games are every Saturday starting weekend after Soccerfest.
· Need to identify a team referee for training
