  1. Arab Church (Holy Spirit Church) Inauguration Service

Pastor IhsanJaro, an Iraqi who came to Canada in September 2014 as a refugee from Lebanon andabout 10 people who have been praying with him for an Arab church plant, held an inauguration service for Holy Spirit Church on Sunday Sept. 11. This was heldat Vaughan Community Church with the presence of church members from Richmond Hill Christian Community Church (Chinese Church), Myanmar Church, Nepalese Church, and Vaughan Community Church.

Vaughan Community Church will pray and work together for Holy Spirit Church (HSC) to be used like Antioch Church in the book of Acts, to proclaim and share the Gospel with the Canadian Arab community and the Muslim community. HSC is beginning with about 30 members from Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon. Also, Richmond Hill Christian Community Church with the help from founding pastor IhsanJaro, had served Syrian refugees in Lebanon and is undergoing the process to invite 6 Syrian refugee families to Canada.

  1. 2016 CMCA New Life Festival

New Life Festival, with people from about 22 different cultures (Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Vietnam, Philippines, Myanmar, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Russia, Ukraine, Congo, Ethiopia, Nepal, Israel, China and Korea) was held at Toronto Korean Presbyterian Church on Sunday, September 18,2016.

Andrew Barron, Director & Missionary of Jews for Jesus Canada, was the main speaker. He met Jesus through a friend who encouraged him to read the Bible. He was handed a Bible on the street while he was working as a space shuttle orbit designer. He thought he was handed a Bible because they didn’t know he was a Jew and offered it to his friend. This friend encouraged him to read it saying that it was for him. Nepalese Pastor Upreti who was born a Hindu, was an atheist as an adult, and became a Christian after encountering Jesus, also shared his testimony.A special song (Light of the World) by Pastor and Mrs. ‘O’ who had to flee their home country after converting to Christianity from Islam due to threats and persecution from their relatives and religious leaders moved the hearts of people and non-Christians, to face the living God.

  • For the newly planted Arab church and recovery of Issam, Pastor Ishan’s brother who has cancer.
  • For complete recovery of Rochelle (Nepalese church’s Pastor Peter’s only daughter) and that the cancer does not spread.
  • For planting churches amongHispanics and Africans in Canada.
