  1. Registration

2.1 Teams who participated in previous Vollé 650 seasons are given top priority in securing their slots for the 6th season.

2.1.1 On confirming/securing slots:

To secure a slot, teams need only sign the waivers and e-mailthe signed copies NO later than 31 December 2009. No waiver no slot.

2.2Registration Period is from 27November 2009 until 31 December 2009.

2.3The registration sheet, info sheet and waiver are provided. Soft copies of ALL forms must be e-mailed on or before31December 2009. Contact details of the tournament director are as follows:

ALL sheets are to be submitted TYPEWRITTEN with complete information and photos. The tournament director reserves the right to NULLIIFY players with incomplete information.

  1. Competition Schedule

Vollé 650 Season 6 - Open Division kicks-off on 23 January 2010 and will run every weekend (Saturday & Sunday).

3.1The preliminary schedule and game format will be released during the Captain’s Meeting (date, time & venue TBA) upon which new teams will draw slots to determine their schedule. Based on the schedule presented, teams may formally request changes in their schedule within 3 days of release with consent of affected teams.

3.2FINAL schedule will be posted afterwards.

3.3On schedule changes. In the event that a team is in absolute need for a change in their schedule after the final schedule is released, approval will be subject to the following:

3.3.1 Validity of excuse to be decided solely by the tournament director

3.3.2 Approval from ALL teams concerned and/or affected by the change in schedule

3.3.3 Move to reschedule shall be done 2 weeks prior to original scheduled game.

3.3.4 Schedule change penalty of Php2,000 to be settled once the change is approved.

Failure to meet ANY of the above conditions shall forfeit the concerned team’s move to reschedule their game.

  1. Teams and Line-up

4.1.Each team is allowed a maximum of 15 players.

4.2.Team numbers are strictly 1-15 ONLY.

4.3.A team should always have 6 players (at least 2 female) on court to be allowed to play at any one match. Failure to field in 6 players (at least 2 female) will mean forfeiture or default of the match.

4.4.A Libero may be designated by the team for a particular match (inform referees who your libero will be before the match begins). This Libero must wear a different colored shirt from that of his/her teammates. A different Libero may be appointed in a different match.

4.5.Final team line-ups (hard copy, TYPEWRITTEN, complete pictures and information) must be submitted during the Captain’s Meeting.

4.6.On line-up changes. In the event that a team is in absolute need for a change in their line-up after the Captain’s Meeting, approval will be subject to the following:

4.6.1Validity of excuse to be decided solely by the tournament director

4.6.2Eligibility of replacement player – change player announcement will be posted on the website. 1 week grace period for protests upon request of player change to be sent via mail.

4.6.3Only a maximum of 5 player changes is allowed.

4.6.4Change lineup penalty of Php2,000 to be settled once the change is approved.

4.6.5New member must have a uniform in order to play.

4.7.Slots will be guaranteed on a first-come first-serve basis. Your team representative will be notified if there are no more slots available.

  1. Eligibility

Anyone may participate provided the following are observed:

5.1.Exclusions

5.1.1.Current varsity players

5.1.2.College level students - undergrads

5.1.3.V-league participants (Season 6 -2009)

5.1.4.Participants of the recent National Open

5.1.5.Current and former (3 year window) members of the National Team, Philippine Air Force, Philippine Army, and Philippine Navy are refrained from participating. Former players from December 31, 2006 and back are qualified to join the tournament. Guest players and training pool members of the mentioned teams are not qualified to play in the tournament.

Any team member who should fall in any of the categories stated above in the duration of the tournament means disqualification of that team member from playing in the tournament effective on the day he/she starts being part of any of the above mentioned.

5.2.Vollé 650 aims to promote fair competition among its participants. It is for this reason that team lineups will be cross-checked. Any player in the submitted lineup found to be a member of any of the aforementioned above will be disqualified.

  1. Game Default

All games are 3 out 5 matches.

6.1Teams will be allowed a maximum of 20 minutes before a default is declared. On the 21st minute, the officials will formally begin the match by asking the opponent team to serve.

6.2Default penalty of Php2,500 (Php1000/set during eliminations) shall be imposed on the defaulted team to be settled immediately. The team will not be allowed to play their future matches unless settled. To prevent defaults, please be in the premises at leastone (1) hour before your assigned game to give allowance in case the games finish earlier than expected.

6.3Official time will be that of Club650’s.

  1. Team Responsibilities

7.1.The organizer will be in touch with team representatives only. Kindly see to it that updates and other concerns regarding the tournament are properly disseminated to team members.

7.2.Referees’ decisions are final. In the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie, please observe proper playing decorum.

7.3.The organizer has the right to sanction/disqualify a player or team who does not conform to tournament rules.

  1. Team Uniforms

8.1.Teams are required to produce their own uniforms. Players with no uniform will not be allowed to play.

8.2.Team members must wear their own jersey numbers at all times. This will be cross-checked before a game starts. Player wearing another teammate’s jersey will not be allowed to play.

8.3.A no uniform, no play policy will STRICTLY be imposed once the uniforms are released.

  1. Ranking

9.1 Ranking shall be based on the number of points won as follows:

Won Game=2

Lost Game=1

Forfeit / Default=0

The team with the most number of points ranks highest.

9.2In case of a tie:

9.2.1Between two (2) teams - the "winner-over-the-other" rule shall apply.

9.2.2Among three or more teams - the PAVA "quotient system" shall apply.

9.2.3For computation purposes, only matches played by teams involved in that particular round will be considered.

9.3 Under no circumstances will an extra match be played to determine rankings.

  1. Tournament Fee

A Registration fee of Sixteen Thousand Pesos (Php16,000.00) per team is required to cater tournament needs. This is due no later than 9 January 2010. Failure to settle the tournament fee authorizes the tournament director to open the concerned team’s slot to other teams. No team will be allowed to play unless the tournament fee is settled.

Early bird’s registration fee rate of Fifteen Thousand Pesos (Php15,000) is applicable for teams who register by 23 December 2009.

Volle 650 now operates independently from Club650. Acknowledgement receipts will be given upon receipt of payment.

  1. Captain’s Meeting & Eligibility Meeting

Team captains or any representative from each team MUST be present in the captain’s meeting. All questions and concerns will be entertained here.
