Entries

All dogs must be individually registered with the CKC or eligible for CKC registration.

The entry form must be completed in every respect and exhibitors must abide by any errors made in entering their dogs regardless of how, or by whom the entry was made.

No entry will be accepted unless accompanied by the entry fee. Incomplete entries will be returned.

The tendering of a dishonoured (NSF) cheque in payment of entry fees shall be considered non-payment of entry fees and is an offence subject to disciplinary action and cancellation of awards.

CKC NON-MEMBER PARTICIPATION FEE

An annual non-member participation fee for awards and titles will be charged to a Canadian non member of the CKC. The fee will match the ERN fee. In order to protect the awards/titles earned, the non-member will have a choice either to become a CKC member or to pay the non-member participation fee. Failure to comply within 30 days of notification will cause all awards and titles to be cancelled. These fees apply only to dogs wholly owned by non-CKC members and are not applicable to CKC members. For more information:

Move-Ups

A dog earning a title after the closing date may advance to a higher level providing the Trial Secretary is notified one week prior to the trial.

Please note that move-ups will be permitted at the end of the day on Friday for Saturday and Saturday for Sunday by filling in the appropriate form. Move-ups between Excellent A and Excellent B will be permitted during the same day but no other changes will be permitted.

Notice to Exhibitors

No food or drinks are allowed on the field except bottled water.

The precinct of the trials shall be the ring enclosure; there will be an area set aside for the judges and trial officials.

Only dogs entered for competition will be permitted in the precinct of the trials.

The trial will be held inside on an official soccer turf. The courses will be set up within an enclosure of 90’ x 110’.

Note that the space for crates is limited. Bring your chairs.

Please do not litter. Use the designated area for your dog, and then clean up.

Dogs must be under control at all times and kept on a leash except in the warm-up area and on the course.

No food or other reward will be allowed on the course. The dog may wear a well-fitted plain buckle collar, quick release collar or no collar on the course (note: no tags or decorations are permitted on the collar).

Competitors participate at this event at their own risk. The release on the entry form must be signed.

All agility obstacles will conform to CKC specifications.

The Club Canin Chomedey reserves the right to refuse entries, subject to CKC rules.

No electronic timer will be used.

Alternate List, Refunds

No entries may be accepted, altered, cancelled or substituted after the closing date, with the exception of conditions listed below.

In the event that the entry limit is reached before the official closing date, an Alternate List will be compiled in the order received. Alternate dogs will be allowed to run in the place of any absent dogs. Alternate dogs which are not able to run shall have the entry fees refunded.

There shall be no refunds in the event that the dog is absent on the day of the trial, or if the dog/handler is dismissed from competition, regardless of the reason for such dismissal, or in the event of inclement weather, other than as provided to compete.

Bitches in season are not permitted to compete. When a bitch comes in season after the entry has been submitted, a refund will be made on submission of a veterinary certificate prior to the day of the trial, certifying that the bitch was in season within the 10 day period preceding the trial.

When a dog has become injured after the closing date, a refund will be made on submission of a veterinary certificate prior to the day of the trial, certifying that the dog has sustained injury.

Volunteers − Help wanted

Your help would be most appreciated

As you know, organizing a trial requires an enormous amount of volunteers in order for everyone to have fun with her/his dog in a healthy competition spirit.

So, if you would like to help us or bring someone with you that would be available to help, we will give you coupons for food and beverage depending on the amount of time you will contribute as a volunteer.

Note that we will not schedule you to work when you are scheduled to run in any of the classes.

For questions, please contact Joanne Thibeault at .
