Daleta Thurness- Youth program specialist: Has been reviewing office efficiency and continuing to learn Clinton County 4-H program. Looking at having one fund possibly between endowment and youth committee.Currently youth committee has its own line item. As a donor it can be confusing which fund to donate to endowment fund vs. youth committee fund. They both have the same goal to help the 4-H youth program. The endowment fund committee meets a minimum of four times a year and are reviewing the bylaws currently. The endowment fund is managed by the foundation and it does receive interest on the fund. Making some goals for 2015 some possible examples include: Facebook for extension, Instagram, website to send mass text messages out to 4-Hers, looking at objectives for year for 4-H youth, trying to get everybody aligned and reach 1300 youth in after school programs.
County Youth Council- Zac Hamilton: Council working on improving organization. Youth council now has a set night for monthly meeting. Preparing for upcoming awards night.Looking into having a Dodge ball tournament again January 3, 2015. 21 members are currently involved with youth council and will be installed at county awards night.Proceeds from Donkey Basketball remain in the Youth Council’s account, as Endowment Committee recommends they spend it on youth-planned county activities.
