Climate Change Action Plan

Working Group Final Action Submission Template

The Working Groups have been asked by the Task Force to focus on developing information for those actions that will lead to the maximum achievable reductions in CO2 emissions or vulnerability to climate change impacts. The following template will be used by the Working Groups to provide a general description and initial analysis on the actions that will besent to the Task Force for consideration. The template will be used for the higher interest items that the Working Groups identify throughout the process and any other actions for which time and resources allow.

While the Action Plan primarily targetsCO2 emission reductions, the Task Force has not specified any minimum thresholds for actions or determined how the other quantitative or qualitative criteria will be weighted in the Task Force’s final deliberations. Accordingly the Task Force seeks as comprehensive a set of potential action descriptions as possible.

The Working Groups will be responsible for the completion of theProgram Description portion of the template and the qualitative assessments (e.g., non-dollar costs, other benefits to the extent known) in the Program Evaluation portion. The Working Groups will also provide the technical consultants, Carbon Solutions New England (CSNE), with any available known background data necessary to conduct analysis. CSNEwill be responsible for conducting the quantitative assessments (e.g., CO2 emission reduction, economic costs or benefits) as outlined in their Scope of Work. When possible the Working Groups will provide any known previously established quantitative data concerning emission reductions and costs for actions.
