Interview Day Itinerary
We ask that you arrive at the Admissions Waiting Room in 1053 Bondurant Hall at the designated time indicated below.

Monday or Wednesday—please arrive by 10:30 am
Tuesday—please arrive by 8:00 am
If you have applied as an out-of-state applicant interviews are only conducted on:
Monday and Tuesday
Your interview day includes two one-on-one interviews with faculty members, one of whom is a member of the Committee on Admissions. You will also have an opportunity to spend time with one of the Deans or a faculty member who will discuss the highlights of our medical school and what it has to offer you. The “Dean’s talk” will be followed by a tour which will be led by two of our medical students.
While you are waiting for your interviews to begin, some of our medical students will stop by to say hi and wish you well. You can take this opportunity to ask them questions about student life.
Please wear comfortable shoes – you will walk a good bit on the tour and to and from your interviews. Remember to wear weather appropriate clothing and accessories if necessary.
Travel
Raleigh Durham International Airport ( RDU)
UNC School of Medicine is approximately 20 miles from the Raleigh Durham Airport.
The Triangle Transit Authority http://www.gotriangle.org/ routes and schedules) offers bus service from the Airport to their hub and then a transfer to Chapel Hill. The cost is approximately $2.00 each way. Local Hotels also offer free shuttle service from the airport to Chapel Hill.

UNC and Chapel Hill buses are free and run city wide approximately every half hour. On Campus the “U” bus runs every 15 min.
Driving
You will need to park in the Dogwood Parking Deck across the street from the UNC Hospitals on Manning Drive. The fee is about $10.00 per day and then you can walk the block to Bondurant Hall.

Weather
Please be aware of the weather conditions when you travel to UNC. Should there be a chance of rain be sure and bring an umbrella as you will need it!
