Directions: A homework buddy is someone who promises to try to help another classmate, usually with homework. Buddies can do all sorts of things:

·  Clear up confusing directions over the phone

·  Record notes during your absence and share them with you

·  Get books from your locker during your absence (see Mrs. Panuccio for locker access)

·  And more…

However, buddies do not copy answers from each other; this would be cheating. When you ask someone to be your homework buddy, you are asking him or her to make you a promise; you are asking him or her to be responsible; you are also promising these things in return. So choose your buddy carefully. Look for someone who is trustworthy, someone you can rely on. And don’t forget that, when you agree to be someone’s buddy, you are making a promise to him or her to be responsible and to look out for him or her.
