NO SPEED LIMIT / SCALLYWAGS FLYBALL

MONSTER BASH October 29 and 30, 2011

WELCOME LETTER

Welcome to the NSL / SW Monster Bash Flyball Tournament! The tournament is being run as one (1) two-day unlimited tournament with 22 Regular teams, 8 multi-breed teams, 22 Open Teams and 1 Veterans teams in 2 rings using the one schedule, two ring format. 1st place through 3rd place division winners will receive placements prizes. Please sign up any dogs who earn NAFA titles during the weekend (please, only those that are earned at our tournament) on our posted sheet. We will be giving title ribbons to each dog who earned them at our tournament. We will also have a sheet available to sign-up Jr. Handlers. Thanks for all your entries and we look forward to some great racing! We are having two rings which will provide over 60 Ft. of runback. Racing will be from 27 to 45 heats for each team. You will find a seeding chart, format, and racing schedule for Saturday and Sunday on our website: www.flyball.com/nsl/nsl.html Directions to the tournament site can be found on the website for Howard County Fairgrounds: http://www.howardcountyfair.org/Directions.htm . If anyone has any suggestions or complaints, please see the members of NSL or SW for assistance. The judges will be Brian Fay and Mike Miller with Jim Spitznas as our relief judge.

Jim Geiser of Game Time Photography (www.seegametimephotos.com) will be our tournament photographer. We also have some wonderful vendors so please start your shopping for the upcoming holiday season with them.

NAFA C-2 score sheets will be filled out with race schedules pre-printed. If you are using stickers, be sure to bring one for each side of the sheet. Please do not bring entire C-2 sheets unless your sheets have the races pre-printed.

The only reserved parking places are for the teams running the tournament. The facility will be open to drop off boxes and set up crating after 5:30 P.M. There is more than enough space for crating in the barns but please don’t take up more space then you really need. The front of the closest barn is reserved for the teams holding the tournament. There is also plenty of crating space outdoors if you so desire it.

Scoring:

All divisions except Regular 1 will score 1 point per heat won + 1 point for winning the race, 1/2 point for a tied race, 1/2 point for tied heats and 0 for a loss. Regular 1 will score one point for winning the race, 0 for a loss.

Ties for tournament placement will be decided by:

·  First- Head to head record

·  Second- If still tied, fastest head to head time

·  Third- If still tied, fastest time in the division

Food: There will NOT be a food vendor at the tournament. There is a Subway and a sub shop just down the street from the fairgrounds. We will take a half hour lunch break. Racing will not stop completely but one ring at a time will break for lunch.
