General Questions

1.What are the benefits of Classroom Suite Network version 4.1?

In addition to all the amazing new activity templates and the improved ease of use, the network version provides these great benefits:

  • Install it on as many computers as you wish:

The network version tracks concurrent license usage. This means you may install it on as many clients as you wish and it will automatically prevent you from exceeding your license limits.

  • Export data automatically:

Activity data can be saved automatically for importing into a district database.

  • Import district rosters:

Easily import lists of students, teachers and classes to make setting up classes a breeze.

  • Publish activities across your district:

You can share activities easily across your district by publishing them simultaneously to multiple servers in your school district.

2.What are the benefits of Classroom Suite Network with Web Licensing version 4.1?

In addition to the benefits listed above, the Web Licensing version makes it easier to manage licenses across multiple servers. Since all concurrent licenses are tracked over the web, the customer never has to reallocate licenses from one server to another. Also, Take Home copies of Classroom Suite are available with the Web Licensing version for teachers and students to use at home. The Take Home CD is a standalone version of Classroom Suite that borrows a license from the school’s web licenses.

3.How does the Take Home CD work?

The network administrator will create a login user account for the Take Home user on the web license server. They will then make a copy of the Take Home CD (or copy the installer from the CD to a USB flash drive) and give it to the Take Home user along with the login info. The user will then install the product at home and enter their login information. When the Take Home version is running, it borrows a license from the school’s web licenses. Because it is a standalone version, it will not be able to access class lists, assignments or reports from the network version. An active internet connection is required to use the Take Home CDs

4.Can existing Classroom Suite Network customers upgrade their software to version 4.1?
Yes. Customers can install version 4.1 over older versions without losing their Classes, teachers, students, reports, or activities. Network administrators do not need to re-activate their license keys. The Network Install Guide contains easy to follow upgrading instructions.

5.Is there a trial version of Classroom Suite Network?
