/ Seating is by chart. Students are arranged in four horizontal rows and two vertical rows, to allow for proximity control and circulation.

  1. What to do when tardy:
/ Follow school policy. Warning issued and marked in grade book for first offense. Thirty minute detention issued for second and third offenses. Discipline referral to administrator issued for fourth offense or failure to serve detention for second or third offenses.
  1. How to request permission to leave the room:
/ Raise hand, request permission, use hall pass.
  1. Procedure for turning in assignments:
/ Assignments are due upon entering class or upon request.
  1. Policy for making up missed work:
Make Up Work = Excused Absence and made up within 3-5 days of absence
Late Work= Less than 3 days late without an excused absence with 30% penalty
Missing Work= More than 4 days late without an excused absence with 50% penalty / Student must make up missed work within 3-5 days of an excused absence. Missed quizzes or tests must be made up in Extended School Services or by arrangement with teacher. Students have two ESS sessions from the date they come back to make up a quiz or test.
A 30% penalty will be assigned to late work submitted within 3 days of the original due date without an excused absence.
A 50% penalty will be assigned to missing work. Work is considered to be missing if submitted 4 days or more after the original due date.
Opportunity for submitting late or missing work ends with each major grading period, either midterm or nine weeks.
  1. What to do if you don’t have your homework:
/ Explanation due before or after class. If due to excused absence, must make up work within 3-5 days of return to class.
  1. Testing schedule:
/ Tests will be announced at least a week in advance.
  1. Cheating policy:
/ If cheating is suspected, student will be warned once. If cheating is verified, student will receive a 0.

Inappropriate Use of Cell Phones (detailed on Page 52 of Student Handbook):
