Mac OS X - Safari issue

When the Download Classlist button is pressed, the .CSV file doesn’t download properly. Instead the file appears in the browser window as text. Instruct the user to select “File à Save As”. Then they can simply choose the location and save the file. It would also be a good idea to check with the user to see if the file has the .csv file extension. Mac doesn’t need to use file extensions, and sometimes it might be left out my mistake.

Mac OS X – Excel (Office X)

There are a couple of different options on Excel for Mac OS X that are hardly an issue to be concerned with. One is to ensure the .csv file extension. The user should have the box checked to “append file extension”. The other thing to mention is that in the “Save-As” dialog, there is a pulldown for format. Here the user should ensure that CSV is selected. Other than that the user will receive the same 2 error messages that windows users receive, as noted in the original Import Help File.
