POSITION LOCATION: NTC’s – Distance Minnesota Location (Perham, MN)

SHIFT & SCHEDULE:Day Shift, Monday-Friday

POSITION PURPOSE:Assist in development and maintenance of infrastructure for supporting students, veterans and other customers. Interpret staff training needs, implement technology training plans, interacts with staff in using technology to support staff procedures and documentation. Collaborate within the technology and data systems teams and supports the customer and information service, success team and administration to leverage the CRM and other electronic tools needed to fulfill customer support, marketing, prospecting, enrollment management, admissions/ registration, retention responsibilities. Primary coordinator of the academic and course schedules for consortium institutions.

Provides administrative support to assist the Director of Distance Minnesota and the Director of Marketing & Student Access with administration of the complex distance programs serving Distance Minnesota, Minnesota State, partnering agencies, and grants. Act within delegated authority to administer key support activities, and ensures that services and program deadlines are met according to established guidelines, rules and statues. Manage, coordinate, operate, and make decisions in work scope based on policies and procedures with minimal direction and supervision. Independently research issues without apparent solutions and brings only those requiring change at the policy or procedure to the appropriate administrator while maintaining confidentiality within the work environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (expected to have to enter job)

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher; or One year of experience that emphasizes analysis (as described in Skills and Abilities below)
  • Skill in:
  • Gathering data sufficient to; identify resources, collect and summarize related background information.
  • Analysis and interpretation sufficient to; evaluate information, including the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to solutions.
  • Making recommendations sufficient to; identify issues and propose realistic improvements.
  • Reporting sufficient to (e.g. summarize and explain the results of analyses in writing and orally).
  • Using productivity applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Access, to manage and summarize data.
  • Ability to:
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and diverse customers
  • Manage time sufficient to meet deadlines and assume increased responsibility to multi-task and prioritize with limited direction
  • Develop coursework in organizational design, planning, research methodology, database software structures and applications, or a closely-related field
  • Experience with:
  • Relational database structures or database software applications sufficient to input and retrieve information from various sources, construct tables and graphs and perform matches between data sets
  • Studying work problems and procedures, such as organizational change, communications, information flow, integrated productions methods, inventory control or cost analysis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (desired but not expected to have to enter job)

  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Database administration
  • Web editing experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • The applicant should demonstrate a knowledge of and interest in diverse cultures and populations.
