CLASS TITLE:REGIONAL AGRICULTURAL MARKET SUPERVISOR - SES
ALLOCATION FACTOR(S)
This is work supervising state market managers on a regional basis to plan, organize and implement agricultural marketing programs that will create market outlets for Florida agricultural products. The primary duties of the employee(s) in the position(s) allocated to this class is to spend the majority of time communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, planning and directing their work; and having responsibility to recommend action to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees or to effectively recommend such actions.

- Recommends courses of action which would result in improved regional resources for the purpose of new agriculture market outlets.
- Plans, organizes and supervises programs designed to assist Florida agricultural producers to market their products.
- Develops and implements programs to increase markets for Florida agricultural products.
- Maintains a close working relationship with community officials and agricultural leaders in developing and implementing aggressive agricultural marketing programs.
- Plans work loads, work flows, deadlines, work objectives and time utilization with employees.
- Motivates employees to improve the quality and quantity of work performed.
- Evaluates employees through established evaluation criteria and responsibilities and meets regularly with employees to ensure the stablished criteria are met.
- Communicates on a regular basis with employees both individually and in staff meetings.
- Performs related work as required.
