CLASS TITLE:GRANTS MANAGER - SES

This is managerial work directing grants management activities. The employee(s) in position(s) allocated to this class exercise(s) independent judgment in formulating or assisting in the formulation of policies and procedures which have significant impact in personnel administration and/or preparation and administration of budgets.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

  • Trains grants management personnel in the review and analysis of program and fiscal administrative requirements, monitoring and training procedures, and in technical skills required.
  • Analyzes administrative grant monitoring and training needs.
  • Directs preparation of progress and evaluation reports on grants administration.
  • Directs the monitoring for compliance to established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the program and financial administrative requirements.
  • Directs the implementation and operation of the program and financial administrative policies and procedures for grant-in-aid programs.
  • Assists personnel in the preparation of grant applications.
  • Reviews grant applications to assure compliance with the grant-in-aid program and financial requirements.
  • Directs the development and maintenance of a categorical inventory of federal grant-in-aid programs for the assigned service district or headquarters.
  • Performs related work as required.
