CLASS TITLE:EDUCATION AND TRAINING SPECIALIST - SES

This is work assessing training needs and developing, conducting and coordinating professional training programs and activities.

  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates academic studies and in-service training programs to meet the needs of employees.
  • Develops and administers examinations.
  • Researches literature and materials and develops curricula.
  • Prepares slides, transparencies and tapes for presentation.
  • Operates and maintains audio visual equipment.
  • Coordinates administrative and logistical support for training programs.
  • Writes training manuals and develops layouts for printed materials.
  • Develops and evaluates curricula.
  • Conducts studies to improve effectiveness and efficiency of on-going training programs.
  • Provides technical assistance in the preparation and presentation of training programs.
  • Determines resource requirements and provides input to management for planning and budgeting purposes.
  • Prepares training grant requests.
  • Coordinates special training programs and activities.
  • Coordinates and participates in training workshops.
  • Prepares records, reports and correspondence.
  • Reviews statutory revisions for amendments to training programs.
  • Evaluates individual training records to determine compliance with statutory requirements.
