CLASS TITLE:CONTRACTUAL SERVICES SPECIALIST

ALLOCATION FACTOR(S)

This is administrative work making annual pre-qualification determinations of potential vendors and consultants, making minority business determinations, analyzing proposals and making selection recommendations, developing advertisements for contractual services, maintaining and analyzing statistics, analyzing and processing various types of submittals, and preparing reports.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

  • Creates and maintains the computer database.
  • Assists in coordinating the services provided.
  • Issues invoices for receivables, analyzes invoices for payables.
  • Compiles and analyzes data.
  • Receives applications and reviews, processes, maintains files and advises contractors of status.
  • Coordinates district advertising.
  • Maintains evaluation and status reports.
  • Conducts weekly review meetings.
  • Writes and places advertisements in appropriate periodicals to comply with Senate Bill 387 or Florida Statute 337.14.
  • Compiles status for selection criteria.
  • Assists in developing and monitoring pre-qualification
  • requirements.
  • Performs related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent and five years of clerical experience.
  • Vocational/technical training in business, clerical or office studies or any college coursework from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester, 45 quarter or 720 classroom hours for each year of the required experience.
