PROMPT

★Arrive to class ON-TIME.

★Take out bellwork notebook.

★Turn in any assignments that are due.

★Be in your seat and working on bellwork when late bell rings.

★Bring all necessary materials EVERY day.

★Be patient when waiting for assistance or if you have a question.

★Demonstrate a positive attitude in class.

★Work together

★Avoid negative thoughts, feelings, and statements.

★Use statements such as “I can, I will, We can, etc”…

Policies and Procedures

1. Entering the classroom

-Find your bellringer notebook.

-Turn in any homework assignments.

-Complete bellwork quietly at your seat.

2. Bellwork

-You will have 3 minutes from the late bell to have bellwork completed and homework turned in.

-There will be quizzes every two weeks.

3. Lav/Nurse/Drinks/Office

-You will not be given a pass to leave during instruction time.

-If you are called to the office you will go immediately.

-You may go at the beginning of class or during your individual work time.

-You must sign out before leaving and sign in when you return.

4. Food and Drink

-No meals will be eaten in class! [Snacks are allowed (chips, candy bars, granola bars, etc)]

-No beverages without a lid.[ No lid? Your drink must stay on the front table.]

-Spills or messes could change this, CLEAN UP after yourself.

5. Grading

-ALL graded assignments will be given a point grade. (Your score/Total Score)

(1) Bellwork - Quizzes every TWO weeks. You MUST use your notebooks and you MUST provide correct answers.

(2) Homework/Classwork - Specific assignments will be turned in throughout each marking period. Assignments must be turned in on time. Any late assignment will lose .5 point each day late. If you turn in an assignment at the end of the quarter you will receive no higher than a 70%.

(3) Tests/Quizzes - There will be tests and quizzes throughout each chapter during each quarter. I will try my best to give at least one week notice before the test or quiz.

(4)Binders - One each quarter. You will receive a checklist of assignments that should be in your binder. The checklist must be included at the beginning of each set of assignments. ALL assignments must be in order.

**This rules sheet MUST be in the front of your binder and is worth 5 points each quarter.

(5)Projects - Will count as a test grade. We may or may not have a project each quarter.

6. Class Supplies

-Pencils can be borrowed not kept. If you keep a pencil it is your responsibility to bring a replacement.

-The electric sharpener is not to be used by students but I will sharpen your pencil if you do not want to use the manual sharpener.

-Extra paper is available if you need but please try to bring your own.

-Calculators will be assigned to each student. Be sure to use only your assigned number. If you notice something is wrong let me know immediately. They will not be issued out over night..

7. Turning in Work

-ALL assignments must be turned in to the appropriate basket. DO NOT leave any assignments on my desk.

8 Missed Assignments

-Any missed assignments will be in the red file hanger by class period. The assignment will have your name on it.

Failure to follow any rules or procedures may affect your grade and could result in disciplinary action.

1st infraction - Warning/Discussion after class.

2nd infraction - Phone call and/or email home.

3rd infraction or more- Referral

Depending on the severity of the infraction some disciplinary actions may be skipped. Any major infractions will result in immediate dismissal from class and referral.
