Dear Colleague,

Thank you for expressing an interest in our school. The job description and person specification are enclosed. Claremont is a two form entry primary school which received outstanding grades in all categories from OfStEd in 2009. I am a National leader of Education and, as a result, our school functions as a National Support School designated by the National College. This involves us in a range of work with other schools on a variety of levels including leadership, quality teaching, Governance and support staff. In addition we are a National Teaching School.

This work demonstrates that Claremont has also made considerable progress in developing the talents of its team. We are looking for new colleagues of the very highest calibre, confident, energetic and ambitious for the children, the school and for education as a whole. All future movers and shakers should apply because this post will be a great stepping stone in your career! Our motto is ‘Let Every Light Shine’.

In addition to our able and well-behaved children, we have a well-resourced school and a large staff. Our grounds are a real benefit with two playgrounds, two fields, a wildlife garden and woodland trail. We also have a 32 PC suite, a Library and arts wing.

Although 60%+ of our pupils go on to selective education you will experience a wide range of pupil ability and needs, and the school also has a very strong emphasis on inclusion.

Do take a closer look at us via our web-site www.claremont.kent.sch.uk. Please note that we are committed to ensuring and promoting the safeguarding, and welfare, of all our children. Appointment will be conditional upon completion of an enhanced CRB check, and current or previous employers will be contacted pre-appointment. We will also want to see original documentation to confirm your identity (passport, driving licence) and your qualifications.

I do hope you will come and have a look or apply for the post. We look forward to meeting you.

Yours sincerely,

Richard Sutton-Smith
