Parents/Guardians - Thank you for helping your child to read the directions

and complete the physical education activity in this blizzard bag assignment.

Exercise and Nutrition

1. Do the following warm up activities, each while counting to twenty (20).

Push-ups

Curl-ups

Wall Sit

High Knees

Outdoor physical activities to do for 10 minutes each.

2. With your parent/adult guidance or permission please pick a physical activity that you enjoy doing and try doing it in the snow. For example; if you pick skiing then pretend you’re at the mountain skiing. Skate over to the chair lift, sit on a pretend chair (squat) for a ride up the mountain. Then ski down the mountain, hopping, swishing, tucking etc. Be creative, pretend to go for a hike, swimming, kayaking, or play football.

3. Again, with your parent/adult guidance or permission stomp out your full name with your feet. Stomp your name in knee deep snow if you can find it.

1. Draw or list ten foods on the back of this sheet that would be good for you to eat for breakfast to start off your blizzard bag day. Don’t forget healthy drinks.

2. Do the following warm up activities, each for twenty seconds.

3. Run in the snow, around your house, in your driveway or around your yard for 5 minutes.

4. Do 20 jumping jacks in deep snow, if you can find it.

5.Do 20 mountain climbers. Bring each knee up to your chest ten times.

6. Upon returning inside please answer the questions below about the activities above.
