Civil Rights STORYBOARD PROJECT

You may work individually or in groups of 2 to create an 8 section Storyboard about the Civil Rights Movement. Each section MUST HAVE a picture/graphic and a MINIMUM of one paragraph written response.

SECTION 1: What did the Civil Rights Movement try to achieve?

SECTIONS 2-7: Analyze SIX Civil Rights Leaders (see second page) and answer the following for EACH leader (ONE activist per section). However, each section should be a civil rights leader from a different demographic.

a)When and where was this person born, or when and where a movement started?

b)What profession did this particular activist/s have?

c)Whose rights was this activist/movement fighting for?

d)Explain his/her impact on the civil rights community.

e)Was he/she/they successful in what he/she/they wanted to achieve?
